Much effort was given to the drawing aspects of this spot, where most varieties of card and crayons were recorded bespoke. Some of the recording was done with a handheld microphone resting on the table as I drew, using the usually poor handling noise of the recorder to capture the table resonance. Mum lent her best Hollywood laugh for the ending too. This spot is a wonderful demonstration of how good voiceover casting and recording can elevate a spot.
