Jamming with Douson on this was a blast. This spot was cannon fodder for a sound designer.
Douson did a wonderful job with the whooshes in this spot, when I heard his final mix I was blown away – very talented human.
I opened a microphone and recorded myself saying the keywords that feature in the spot (eg “seen”, “inspired”…) and threw them into a choice delay to give the soundtrack a more human feel rather than relying purely on sound effects – something that I am always looking to do as a breath will be far more emotive than any non-human sound {a fight scene is only as good as it’s breaths/groans/grunts}
